The Olive Tree Cottage
History Of Olive Tree
Built in the 1930’s, Olive Tree Cottage was originally a 3 bedroom kauri cottage on surrounding farmland. It was lovingly renovated in the 1990’s to form a beautiful venue for weddings and private functions. The original owner, Pat Best, had a vision of somewhere people could come and relax, to enjoy and appreciate the surroundings while spending time at special occasions with family and friends. Pat, who is now in her 80’s, is still a vital part of the cottage’s upkeep.
In 2006 The cottage was taken over by Pats daughter Pam and Grand daughter Lisa , 10 years on and the cottage is continuously evolving and along with their amazing team who have become like family over the years the cottage continues to grow and flourish.
You will be swept away entering the cottages foyer greeted by a polished kauri floor dining room with neutral decor to suit any colour theme, flowing into our permanent silk lined marquee overlooking the cottage gardens then gliding up to our stylish contemporary bar facility also overlooking the cottage gardens. The venue also offers a separate mother and baby wing, 40 acres of farmland and 4wd bush and forestry for beautiful photos opportunities.
